Lex Machina is proud to announce the release of its new API Alerts, which enhances and expands the scope of our powerful existing alert tool and API functionality. API Alerts combine Lex Machina’s popular alerting service with the option to receive alerts in a machine readable format. API Alerts enable API customers to embed data directly into their workflows and other tools.
Lex Machina’s existing alert operations already ensure that our customers can stay up-to-date on crucial case developments or new case filings, but API Alerts take it a step further by enabling legal professionals to receive structured legal data directly as cases are updated or filed. This provides seamless integration with their own systems without manual downloads.
With API Alerts, users can choose to receive their daily or weekly alerts via API, with the additional option of retrieving all of the matching results (instead of receiving new additions on an ongoing basis). These features allow users to customize API Alerts to suit their specific needs, while backed by the full force of Lex Machina’s powerful search engine. In addition, API Alerts will not require new logins or authorizations, and will be automatically enabled for all existing API customers.
API Alerts further our mission to bring Legal Analytics to all areas of the law by enabling customers to not only search across docket text and documents to obtain the exact data and analytics they need, but also to ensure that it is delivered to them daily.
Additional API enhancements remain a top priority at Lex Machina. We plan to release more enhancements throughout the coming months.
Depending on your subscription, users can access the new API Alerts now.
