    Kate started at Nicholes Family Lawyers in 2010 as a legal graduate after completing her law degree and practical legal training. Kate previously worked as a secondary school science teacher, where she gained experience working with young people in a pastoral care role and developed an interest in matters that affect children.

    While at NFL, Kate has worked on complex property matters, special medical procedure applications, and children's matters. Kate has gained experience in range of family law matters while volunteering at a community legal service as well as experience in an in-house corporate legal environment. She has also worked as a legal intern for the Office of the Health Services Commissioner where she carried out legal research. Kate is now committed to working exclusively in family law.

    Rose is a criminal defence lawyer at Legal Aid NSW, representing both adult and juvenile clients in a variety of jurisdictions in NSW.

    Rose has practiced as a criminal defence lawyer at the Aboriginal Legal Service NSW/ACT and in private practice. She also has experience in Commonwealth prosecutions, as well as holding various roles in the public sector.

    She also teaches at the University of Sydney Faculty of Law.

    Angela is the current Chair of the QLS Succession Law Specialist Accreditation Committee. Angela is a member of STEP and a previous Chair of the Queensland Branch. She is has lectured for QUT, the College of Law and is a regular presenter of seminars.

    Biography:

    Peter Kelso is an accredited specialist in business law under the Specialist Accreditation Scheme administered by the Law Society of NSW and has practised extensively in the area of commercial law, with an emphasis on a debt recovery and insolvency. He was the author of a manual on "Debt Recovery NSW" published by Butterworths (since discontinued), is the author of the chapter on "Receivers" in Halsbury's Laws of Australia, and is also the author of the chapters on "Winding up", "Receivers and Controllers" and "Voluntary Administration" in the Australian Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents.

    Peter is also an author for LexisNexis Practical Guidance. Peter has lectured extensively in the areas of debt recovery and insolvency, and continues to present an annual seminar on debt recovery practice.

    Suzanne is a high profile international corporate lawyer with previous roles as an executive, general counsel, corporate secretary, and board member.     Neil’s practice is predominantly in the area of civil litigation with a focus on personal injuries cases. Prior to joining the independent bar, he was a solicitor at Bradford & Co.

    In 2013 Neil completed a Master of Laws at the University of Western Australia with his primary research area being negligence liability. He has a special interest in trial and appellate advocacy and has appeared on behalf of clients in most courts. Neil’s notable cases include New South Wales v DC [2017] HCA 22 (led) (abuse of minors), Engine Protection Equipment Pty Ltd v Miller [2018] WASCA 55 (workers’ compensation), Cullen v Woodside Energy Pty Ltd [2021] WADC 56 (workers’ compensation), Gentle v Wright [2021] WADC 63 (landlord and tenant) and Jenner v Mundrabilla Roadhouse Pty Ltd [2021] WADC 59 (occupiers’ liability).

    Caite is a Barrister specialising in all things estates and trusts. She has been a lawyer for more than 30 years, a barrister for more than 20.

    Until the rules were changed in 2023, she was one of only five QLS accredited specialists in succession law at the Queensland Bar. She received the highest achiever award in her graduating year (2009).

    Caite is consistently named “Market Leader” and “preeminent” junior counsel in Estate Litigation in Doyle’s List, both in Queensland and nationally.

    Caite is a former chair (2010-2013) of the Queensland Branch of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

Prior to joining Fragomen she was a partner in an immigration law practice based in Sydney and has previously worked in community organisations providing immigration advice.

    Jane has also been a member of the Conduct Panel of the Migration Agents Registration Authority and is a former member of the Social Security Appeals Tribunal.     Lyn brings over 20 years of experience in corporate law, governance and technology. She is passionate about the intersection of law with technology, and has a strong interest in the implications of artificial intelligence, machine learning, new biometric analysis tools and other related areas.

    As the Practice Leader for Data & Privacy in Holding Redlich’s corporate and commercial group, Lyn advises on data and privacy matters and complex corporate transactions.
